Arrival – Colombo Airport – Habarana

Once you arrive at the airport, our representative will greet you and drive you to Dambulla, in the north-central province. Your drive to this UNESCO World Heritage Site will take you through lush scenery of rice fields, coconut groves and mountains in the horizon. Arrive in Dambulla and go on to tour the incredible Cave Temples, which have stunning Buddhist murals in a system of five caves. Also, enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding area here. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel for relaxation and overnight.

Day 2
Habarana – Sigiriya – Habarana

Go on an early morning tour of the legendary Sigiriya rock fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the most visited site in Sri Lanka. You will go on a guided tour of this incredible structure and discover impressive frescoes, gardens with natural caves and ruins of the ancient royal palace at the top. Afterwards, enjoy some time on your own to relax or to take a refreshing stroll. Return to hotel for overnight.

Day 3
Habarana – Polonnaruwa – Habarana

Enjoy a delicious breakfast and visit Polonnaruwa, an ancient historic capital of Sri Lanka where you can discover incredible ruins of ancient palaces, bathing pools, Hindu kovils and temples. You can tour Polonnaruwa either on foot or by bike. Explore the main attraction, the Gal Vihara, which has captivating Buddha statues carved from granite stone. Don’t forget to visit the archeological museum for an illuminating tour. When you are done, your driver will take you to the hotel for overnight.

Sri Lanka East Coast

Day 4
Habarana – Trincomalee

Take a morning drive towards Trincomalee, a harbor town located on the north eastern coast. Settle in at your hotel and go on to discover the stunning Nilaveli beach, famed for its clear-blue waters and the paradise-island remoteness. Relax and sunbathe on the beach or, if you’d like, you can go diving near Pigeon Island (not included in tour package). Return to hotel for overnight.

Optional: Go on an early morning jeep safari to the Minneriya National Park, well known for its elephant population and other exotic wildlife such as crocodiles, monkeys and pelicans. The park also has a variety of habitats, such as jungles and swamps, to explore.

Day 5
Trincomalee – Jaffna (30 minute drive and 1 hour flight)

Early morning, catch a domestic flight to Palali, near Jaffna on the island’s northern peninsula. If you prefer, you can make this trip by road. Arrive in Jaffna and go on an exciting city tour to explore the beautiful Nallur Temple, the magnificent Jaffna Library and the historic Fort of Jaffna. Spend the night at hotel.

Day 6
Jaffna

Visit Point Pedro, the northernmost point of the island, and meet the local fishermen. Discover the largely unexplored north coast of the island divided between the sea and the many lagoons. Afterwards, return to hotel and relax.

Anuradhapura – Colombo Airport
